献本、ありがとう。買わなくちゃいけないところだったのに、申し訳ない。
ぼくは、長屋がベッドに寝たきりになっていた２００３年、Ｃ型肝炎という（当時は）やっかいな病気の治療に入って半分死にかかっていた。薬の副作用のど真ん中の頃、国リハへ見舞いに行ったのを憶えているよ。長屋がこんなに頑張っているんだから、自分も頑張らなくちゃ、と逆に力をもらった。これからも力を貰う。できればぼくもいつか長屋の力になりたい。そう思っている。ゆっくり読ませてもらうな。

書店で予約した本が昨日入荷、本日購入することができました。プロローグですでに泣いてしまいました。いっぺんに読みたい気持ちもあるけど、いまは、毎日少しずつ大切に読み進めていきたいと思います。

今日、近くの“ＴＵＴＡＹＡ”に予約しておいた長屋さんの本が届きました。本当に嬉しいです！（予約を入れた後、サイン入りで購入できると知り、こちらも、即予約をお願いしました。）
待ち焦がれて、やっと手元に届いた長屋さんの本・・・。まだ数ページしか読んでいませんが、読み始めたら、寝るのも忘れて一気に読んでしまいそうな気がします。しっかり読ませていただき、また感想をお伝えできたらと思います。

私も発売日から遅れること2日、水曜日に手にしました。今必死に読んでるよ！
まだアメリカでのリハビリのところだけど、読み終わったら感想をメールします。そのうち英会話スクールでも話題にのせてみようかとも思ってる。外人講師に「これを読め」なんていっても絶対無理なので「彼はこういう事故でこうなって今はこういう活動をしている」というのを教えてあげようと思ってるんだ。
でもね、やっぱりあの時の事故の衝撃が甦ってくるんだよね。写真を見たら涙が出そうになった。
おっと！これより先はメールで。ってだいぶ先のことかもしれないけど…
