男の子
仕事帰りに電車に乗ったら、目の前にお母さんと１０歳くらいの男の子の親子が居た。 電車が発車し、ふと気付くと、その男の子がずーーーーーーっと僕の事を見つめている。 僕も負けじとじーーーーーーーっと見つめていたら、視線を反らしながら、ちょこっとずつ寄って来る。
男の子は、車椅子に興味があるのかタイヤやフレームをチラ見している。 電車に乗る前に、ホームの黄色い線のギリギリで電車を待っているのを見ていたので、何でも興味を示す、お年頃なんだろうと思った。 お母さんに「すいません。見ちゃってー。」と言われ、「大丈夫ですよ。」と答えると、 恥ずかしそうにチラチラ見てくる。 お母さんが「何か言いたそうにしているから言いなさいよー」と優しく言うと、男の子はお母さんにじゃれながらも、またモジモジしながらチラチラ見てくる。 お母さんが「お兄ちゃん何処まで行くの？って聞いてごらん」と言っても、モジモジしている。 「○○ですよ。」と答えた。 僕の降りる駅が近付くと、突然、男の子が「喉かわいたー。ジュース飲みたいー。」と言い出すと、お母さんが「お兄ちゃんの降りる○○で降りて買いに行こうね。」というと、凄く嬉しそうにしながらチラチラ見ている。 どうも僕は気に入られたようだ。 駅が近付くと、男の子が「駅員さんきてるかなー？」とお母さんと話している。 気に入られたというよりも、心配してくれているようだ。 降りる駅に着くと、駅員さんがスロープを持って、待っていてくれた。 いつものように駅員さんにスロープを出してもらって僕は電車を降りると、男の子もスロープの上を歩いて電車を降りてきた。 可愛いなーと思いながら親子に「ありがとうございます」と言ってエレベータへ向かうと、男の子は真横を一緒になって着いてくる。僕がスピードを上げたり下げたりしても、スピードにあわせて着いてくる。 エレベーターに近付くと、「押してあげなさい。」というお母さんの言葉に反応して、走ってボタンを押しにいってくれた。 エレベーターが下の階にいるのをガラス越しに見ながら、「もうすぐ来るからねっ。」と、はしゃいで一緒に待ってくれた。 エレベーターが来て、ドアが開くと、中に乗って、開くボタンを押してくれている。 エレベーターに乗ると、「もう大丈夫だからねっ」と優しい言葉で僕の事を笑顔で見ている。 子供って可愛いなーと思った。 しかし、君が降りないとドアしめられないじゃーん(笑)誘拐されたとお母さんに思われちゃうよ。と思い、「お母さんが待ってるよ。」と言うと、「あっ。そっかー。」と走って降りて、お母さんがジュースを買う自動販売機に向かって行った。 僕が振り向くと、大きく手を振っていた。僕も振り替えした。 何とも嬉しい光景に遭遇できて、心が癒された。 子供っていいなー。可愛いなー。昔から子供と動物には好かれるな。臭いでもするのかな？(笑) 是非とも男の子には、この気持ちのまま成長していってもらいたいですね。感動しました。 長屋宏和 http://www.piroracing.com/
